A TYPICAL DAY VOLUNTEERING

  1. DRESS IN RED AND BLACK

  2. Put on your finest red and black clothing AND your biggest smile. Have fun! Hats and boas are very welcome but don’t worry if you don’t have anything red and black; just wear what you feel comfortable in. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and weather appropriate gear (just in case).

  3. MEET YOUR TEAM

  4. Rain or shine, arrive at the on-site or depot at the designated time and meet your fellow volunteers. Each area will have a Volunteer Leader, who will be happy to help with any questions.

  5. SMILE
  6. During your shift you will be selling or delivering tulips and crispy ferns as well as collecting donations.  Remember to smile and make eye contact! Don’t forget to take photos and share them with us on social media using #breathofspring19.

  7. WHO ARE YOU VOLUNTEERING FOR?

  8. We all know someone affected by lung disease so whoever you do it for, let them be your inspiration while you’re making a difference.

  9. COME BACK NEXT YEAR

  10. Most of our volunteers are familiar faces who come back year after year because of the difference they are making in helping Ontarians breathe. We would love for all of our volunteers to join us again next year and this time bring a friend or family member with you!
