ABOUT STAIRtoCARE

Find out how high your breath can take you at STAIRtoCARE 2016

WHAT: Now in its second year, STAIRtoCARE is a charity stairclimb in support of The Lung Association.

WHY: In addition to being a great source of cardiovascular exercise, stairclimbing is a challenging do-it-anywhere activity that can help you recognize the power behind your breath.

The Lung Association is dedicated to protecting those breaths. Your entry fee and collected pledges allow us to provide programs and services to patients and health-care providers, invest in lung research, and campaign for improved policies on lung health.

WHEN: Sunday, October 2, 2016. Registration opens at 10:00 a.m. for our 12:00 climb. Our Tailgate Party kicks off at 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: The home of the Tiger-Cats - Tim Hortons Field in Hamilton, Ontario ( 64 Melrose Ave North)

WHO: Breathers of all ages and abilities. With multiple competition types, there’s something for everyone.

HOW MUCH: Your entry fee ($38 per adult, $19 per child) includes access to the stairclimb and our family-friendly on-field activities, as well as entry to our exclusive tailgate party.

Unlock big incentives – including Ticats ticket vouchers – when you raise $150 or more in support of The Lung Association!

Looking back: The Steeltown Firefighter Stairclimb

The Steeltown Firefighter Stairclimb was initiated and chaired by our firefighting volunteer Daryl Mallett. He is an avid stair climber, and was looking for a Canadian climb that could challenge him and raise funds for The Lung Association.

The Lung Association is a registered charity dedicated to making Ontario a better place to breathe. It provides programs and services to patients and health-care providers, invests in lung research and campaigns for improved policies on lung health. Information about breathing and lung health issues is available through the Lung Health Information Line 1-888-344-LUNG (5864) or at info@on.lung.ca.
